  My letter...

  i'm new to this forum and am also sacolton's wife.

  alot of you already know about me because he's talked about me on here before...even has posted pictures, at which he incurred my wrath upon my discovery.

  anyways...i'm about to submit my letter of disassociation to my local congregation and i thought i would share it.

  Btw, re a signature - surely they have a copy of that on your publisher record card? They can use that to confirm who the letter is coming from.

  What's the scriptural basis for....

  ....district conventions?.

  i know that the jews went to jerusalem and had a couple of celebrations where they gathered in large numbers during the year but did the early christians do anything like that?

  i'm a bit confused as to what the precedent for district conventions or assemblies are.. thanks for any info,.

  Yeah, it was like a meat market at times!

  But I'm just wondering how the WTS sell the idea of spending money and taking holidays from work/school to the jws without any scriptures to quote to back the notion up.

  friday last talk "sing to jehovah" - new songbook with 135 songs, 42 which are new.

  will start using in january 2010. cong will begin receiving them after september 1st.
